I have realised how much the music we listen to and fill our minds with can really impact us. That’s why I decided to have ‘Music March’ on my blog this month. It will include some of my friends unique journeys through which music has impacted them. I’m really excited to share these with you. It can really be a challenge for some to know what kind of music to listen to and to make sure it is the kind of music that glorifies God.
In today’s post I want to share with you songs that have impacted my journey specifically in this season.
Still that girl-Britt Nicole
This song has been my favourite for ages. Its such a sweet reminder that even though we go through unexpected seasons we can still believe in our dreams and keep going. When we have God on our side we can’t be knocked down.
Just be held-Casting Crowns
Literally all these songs that I’m sharing, I can’t find the words to share the emotions they make me feel. A reminder of God’s ability to be our comfort through each season.
More to this life-Steven Curtis Champan
This is my song for when I’m feeling stuck or just going through the emotions. It reminds me to have an eternal focus to get through each day.
Help is on the way- Michael W. Smith
When you don’t feel like going through this season anymore, play this song and soak in the words. The reminder that there is hope, we can keep going.
God’s not dead- Newsboys
When you just that reminder that God is still with you and working even when everything is so bleak.
These songs really are such an encouragement and the reminders they bring are so relevant for me in this season.
See you back here next Monday for the second edition of Music March.
