Friends are such an important part of life, so the way you act around them is important to.
As a Christian, our faith should be active in all areas of our life. Just because we know this in our head, doesn’t make it any easier to live it out.
I know in my life there are times I feel it would just be easier if I didn’t add that ‘Jesus comment’ in a conversation.
It’s not about what’s easy, it’s about living out our faith in all areas of a life.
As 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
It wouldn’t be fun to be considered that bad company nor would it be fun to be around bad company.
Faith is not an on and off switch. Jesus died for all of you, not certain parts.
Something I’ve learnt over the years of struggling with friendships is to be the kind of friend you need. God can use you to be that friend for others
Now that we know that sharing our faith with our friends is so important, let me share with you some ideas to help include your faith in a natural way in conversations.
·Share stories of how God is working in your life
·Use verses from the bible as a way of encouragement
· Remind them that you are praying for them (and actually pray for them-be genuine)
Lastly, just love them unconditionally, by living out your faith people will notice you are different.
Hang on to those special friends and make memories that you will treasure forever.
