The ultimate guide for Cape Town

January 4, 2019

I have lived in Cape Town,South Africa my whole life and it is such a beautiful place. I think of it as the perfect place for a fun holiday. This post sums up some of the touristy spots but as a whole just some really beautiful views. Cape Town has the best of both with beaches and mountains.

I normally do Christian based posts on this blog which I absolutely love writing but just was inspired to share some of these places with you because I don’t think many people understand the real beauty there is in South Africa especially Cape Town.

Cape Point

This is a place full of history and beauty!

V&A waterfront

A shopping mall with lots of unique eating options and South African souvenirs.

This is the view from the hike across the way from Table Mountain called Lions Head.

Table Mountain Cable way

You could climb the mountain but if you prefer a slow paced ride up on the cable car. The view from Table Mountain is incredible and perfectly sums up Cape Town.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Beautiful gardens, such a lovely place to have a picnic. Lovely view on the tree canopy walk.

Hired a bike and rode along the promenade

Seapoint Promenade

Lovely place to go for a walk with the waves beside you. Have an ice cream along the way is one of my favourite things to do.

Blouberg Beach

Perfect for the the mountain scenery and an enjoyable time at the beach.

Galileo open air theatre

Such a fun atmosphere to watch a movie under the stars

Silvermine

Lovely river surrounded by mountains.  Good place for kids and a picnic.

Boulders Beach

The place to see loads of penguins!

I hope this list helps inspire you to dream up or hopefully plan a trip to Cape Town. Definitely add it to your bucket list!

If you are looking for places to eat, I’m currently working on a post about the best vegan restaurants in Cape Town.
