Happy Birthday Jesus:)

August 1, 2017
The year is ending and it’s December so that means Holidays and Christmas time.
I want to remind you that JESUS truly is the reason for the season!
I don’t know about you but I really don’t feel in the ‘Christmas Spirit’, it’s the end of the year and my year has been horrid. Yes happy moments too of course:) But it’s time to celebrate because we can receive the greatest gift of all
Christmas should be a time of joy and celebration. It is the King of the world’s birthday and to me that is an important thing. No Jesus wasn’t born on 25 December but this the day that has been set aside for the world to celebrate this person that was sent by God to save the world. That’s really an amazing gift for everyone. So as you receive or give presents this Christmas remember the reason we give gifts and why we even have Christmas.
Yes most people know the real meaning of Christmas but choose to ignore it as it doesn’t fit their celebrations or I don’t know, many other reasons.
It’s not about eating nice food or getting the best gifts, that all comes with any celebration but remember this celebration is extra special.
The Christmas Story in short:
Matthew 1:18-25
This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.  Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.  But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:  “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel” (which means “God with us”).  When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
I hope your Christmas this year is full of love and joy and that it is a special time celebrating the King.
Happy Birthday Jesus and love to all!
Hannah!
