Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson

What Living Fearlessly means to me

April 30, 2018

I’ve been following Sadie Robertson for a while now so when I heard she was releasing another book, Live Fearless I just thought it was a no brainer to buy it. I’ve been wanting to read her book, Live Original for ages but haven’t been able to so I just decided to pre order Live Fearless.  Slowly as the release day approached this topic of Living Fearlessly seemed to pop up in my head very often.

Just before I actually started to read this book, God really put on heart that fear was a bigger thing in my life than I’d like to admit.

What Live Fearless means to me, Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson book review

So when we had to write down a list of fears as one of the challenges early on in this book it really hit me. I needed to deal with this fear.

This book shares powerful truth and encouragement for everyone.

Something that really helped me grasp what it meant to Live Fearless was this quote from the book, “Overcoming fear means surrendering control” I think that’s exactly it, we as humans don’t want to surrender control. We are always trying to figure out things on our own and then somehow along the line we realise fear has crept in and we need God to help us deal with it.

Through sharing parts of her story throughout the book, Sadie really shows how God can work in and change you.

Sadie gives practical advice on how to live fearlessly, starting off by saying “It’s also vital to trust God while you’re still afraid”

I’ve been attempting to write this book review kind of post on Live Fearless for a few days and I never finish it. When I write this I feel like a hypocrite writing about this book because I am feeling so fearful right now. Something went wrong with my exam registration and now I’m not sure if I’ll be able to write when I need to. In this moment I know I need to trust God that He will sort it out, when my heart feels empty. I am so over tired, I don’t have the strength to keep myself going or deal with the pain in my body.

But right now I am thankful for this book and the way it has helped alongside the Bible to deal with situations like this.

So for the person reading this, whether you are able to admit you are fearful or if its a hidden thing-know that Sadie has written this book for you and it can help you.
