Ever feel you aren’t enough, you’ll never amount to something or like a complete failure? Oh yes me too, girl.
I often feel like like my confidence is non existent and that I’m constantly on a treadmill through life to achieve it all. What even is this ‘it’ I’m trying to achieve? Social media is shouting at us to be more, do more, buy more, achieve more etc.
We are bombarded with conflicting messages about how you are totally enough and you should love yourself but then reality is we still feel less than.
Why you aren’t enough?
I think I get where this enough message is coming from, for example if its coming from a place of you don’t need to compare yourself because you are where God needs to be then I’m all for it. The problem comes in where this message is so self focused in a way that we can achieve all this in our own strength and removes us from our need for God.
Because spoiler alert, you aren’t enough. You and I are humans, we mess up all the time-we need a saviour. We cannot go through life relying on ourselves because we are constantly changing whereas God provides a stable foundation and an answer to our sin problem-the Gospel, His saving grace is all we need.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God-Romans 3:23 NIV
There is no specific destination that you’ll suddenly arrive in life and then everything will be rainbows and sunshine because friend, we know life is hard. It’s about digging deep where you are, being intentional with your time and finding joy in the mundane and the crazy highlights in life.

When Jesus saves you He gives you a new identity, you no longer have something to prove or a standard to meet because you are a Child of God. This doesn’t mean you can just live a wild life but it opens the door to live a Godly life in the freedom of knowing Jesus and because of this you’ll want to live for Him more and more.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!-2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
All the decisions we make, come down to our own selfishness and that’s where things get messed up.
So let’s get back to less of us and more of God because He deserves all the glory for what He has done and constantly does for us. Let us live as children of God.
He must become greater; I must become less.-John 3:30 NIV
