Sometimes reading the Bible is hard, so actually studying it is very hard! I know the feeling of waking up and thinking it would be easier to scroll through Instagram rather than spending time with God, so I get it. It might seem that there is something better to do but actually digging into God’s word will benefit us all far more.
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on reading whole books of the Bible instead of being all over the place. It is very rewarding and helpful to look at the themes throughout the book and to have a better understanding of the message.
Today I want to share with you a few truths that I was reminded of when reading the book of Psalms and encourage you to read this book yourself.
God never changes
With the fast paced world we live in, only God can be our constant. Everything is always changing but through psalm after psalm there is a sense of God’s faithfulness through it all.
He was there then, he is here now and he will be here tomorrow.
We need to PRAISE GOD for who he is
We sometimes forget to actually thank God for what he is doing because we are too worried about what is to come. We need to stop that and PRAISE him for who he is, the God the universe, the creator and all powerful saviour.
